Daily attendance
Pick a class in the mobile app. Tap “everyone present” to mark the full class in a second, then switch only the absentees.
Subject-wise attendance
Separate attendance for every period — in higher classes, each teacher takes attendance for their own subject.
QR-code attendance
An authorized staff member opens the supervised QR scanner from the attendance register and scans a student’s QR card. Keep the correct class and date selected, review the displayed student and result, and resolve any duplicate or invalid scan before continuing. Students do not self-register by scanning a shared classroom code.
What should staff check before saving?
Confirm the date, class and section before marking the roster. Review absent and leave entries before saving, then reopen the register to verify the result. Daily and subject-wise attendance serve different purposes: a student may be present for the day but absent from one subject period. Keep the appropriate register selected when making a correction.
Automatic absentee SMS
When enabled, the guardian of an absent student gets an immediate SMS: “Your child was absent today.” Toggle it in Settings → Notifications.
Offline
Supported mobile attendance workflows can queue work offline. Check the app’s pending-sync state after reconnecting and confirm that the server register contains the marks. A browser session and a native mobile app do not have identical offline capabilities; test the device your staff will use before relying on it.
See the attendance module, mobile and offline guide and notification setup for related workflows. If a record cannot be saved or synchronized, contact support before entering the same attendance repeatedly.
